summer sparks!

At times, I would stand up tip-toed, spread my hands, look up and smile! These are the moments I savour the goodness of the Lord in my life. When all else fails, when everything crumbles, when darkness surrounds... one thing still prevails and remains-- the never-changing love of Jesus in my heart! :-)

Last busy weekend and the next busier days...

I thought that I would have ample time to relax this Christmas Vacation, but i guess i would have to postpone that a little bit, hehe! Got another little "raket" again to keep myself busy with til end-January, and though it's going to keep my hands full, I'm thankful to God for this door of opportunity He opened for me, so basically, that would be taking much of my time starting this day (supposedly!).

Last Busy Weekend.

Medical Mission

If last year, we did a "feeding program" project, this year, we had "free clinic". Last Saturday (December 20, 2008), my elementary friends and I held a Medical Mission in Salinas, Bacoor, Cavite as part of our charity project for 2008. It was rather well-organized, I must say. Each station was manned properly and everybody did their part willingly. Mia, Audrey and Eve were assigned at the registration booth. Jan and Ryan were at the Vital signs station. I and Neil were at the waiting area calling out the person's name as one doctor becomes available. Allan and 4 other doctors including Norman's wife, sister and auntie as well as Allan's friend were all very helpful and patient as we have more than 200 patients at hand. Norman, Lea and Gino manned station 5 where they gave out some free medicines. Eve, Louie, Norman and Gino brought us some food to eat while doing this mission. It was amazingly well-coordinated.

Since I was officially assigned in the waiting area, the patients there were asking me who initiated the project or if there were any politicians who funded it. I found myself very proud to say that this was actually a project of my elementary buddies/friends who thought that we should give back to others some blessings through a charity project. Hats off to Norman who actually thought of this idea. He gathered us only about a week before the set date for medical mission, but according to him, he had been trying to plan for this the whole year, hehehe! I think all the hardships and stress were worth it! I found myself feeling very fulfilled even if I only played a small part on this. Kudos to everyone, I'm so proud of you guys, double-proud for the friendship we had through more than two decades already.

Rehearsal

It was quite a hectic schedule for me. I committed myself into attending two activities that Saturday-- one was the medical mission and the other one was the p&w rehearsal. Since the medical mission preparation started at 6:30 AM, I asked my friends if I could go by 9:30 so I could attend my rehearsal at 10 AM and since they were all very kind, they allowed me to go with the promise that I should be back after my rehearsal, hehe! True enough, I got back by 3:30 PM and they were all packing up, hahaha! But anyway, I was both fulfilled that day. I was able to help in the medical mission and I was able to do something that I'm passionate about.

Praise and Worship
We had wonderful praise and worship that Sunday. The songs were arranged differently and I praise God for the wonderful talents He had to use in arranging these songs. I also thank God for the musicians who actually took time to play the intricate arrangements superbly. I'm truly blessed!

Cantata
I was equally blessed as well with the Cantata that was presented by GCF-Ortigas. They sang very beautifully. The dancers were very graceful as well. I was indeed inspired and in awe while watching them. To God be the glory indeed.

Lunch at CPK, ATC
We initially planned to have a picnic at Tagaytay but it was postponed because most of us can't make it so we had lunch at CPK at Alabang Town Center instead. This was the growth group initiated by my brother and Ian. Since I don't get to regularly attend my growth group at GCF-Ortigas, I'm thankful that I had another one here in GCF-South Metro. I really pray that throught this growth group, our faith will be strengthened more and friendships will be furthere fostered.

Shopping with my brother

To cap this busy weekend, my brother and I shopped together for our gifts for dad and mom. We used to have only one gift so we always signed it "from Mae and Leo", kaya lang lugi ata ako, parang ako lang bumibili, haha! This year, we decided to have separate gifts, wehehe! It was a fun bonding time for me and my brother as well. I also bought him his Christmas gift already, di na nga lang surprise dahil nakita na nya, mas mahal pa gift nya kesa kina mommy at daddy, haha!

The Next busier days...

23rd, 24th, 25th and 26th of December

Last Monday (December 22), I had a meeting with the main people involved in this "raket" i got myself involved into. It was rather an interesting research project although yeah, we have to meet again on December 26 and present the finished task expected of us by then. So that just means I'll be working at home on the 23rd, 24th, and 25th, waaaaAAAHHHHhhhHHH! but then again, this is a blessing and I hope that God will grant me excellence in this.

27th, 28th and 29th of December

I had something especially planned for these days, my gift for myself, something I'm passionate about, an investment on my experiences... but i won't tell you as of yet, hehhehe! nambitin ba? magwowork muna ako, haba na nito e!
